Wolves One of a Number of Premier League Clubs Considering a Move for Reading Youngster Danny Loader

Wolverhampton Wanderers are one of a number of Premier League clubs who are eyeing young Reading striker Danny Loader.

The Englishman is currently set to become a free agent this summer, with the Royals unable to offer him a new contract due to the mounting implications of Covid-19.

The forward had previously been close to a move Wolves last summer, before the Championship side put paid to any potential move to Molineux for their youngster.

This season has seen the 19-year-old struggle for game time under manager Mark Bowen, as he has featured in just 12 games in all competitions this season, while also failing to register a Championship goal.

Despite his limited minutes this season, according to Sky Sports, there still remains a number of interested parties - most notably Wolves.

The Midlands side have been in search of an able backup to star striker Raul Jimenez, and with new signing Leonardo Campana needing time to adapt to English football, Loader may provide a more fit and ready option.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side have enjoyed a stellar term thus far, sitting in sixth place in the league table, as well as enjoying a continued run in the Europa League before the season was suspended.

Yet, with Jimenez shouldering the striking burden on all fronts this season, the club are desperate to bolster their relatively thin squad.

As for Loader, the Under-17 World Cup winner will surely be open to making the step up to the top flight, as well as the prospect of more game time.
