Andy Murray set up a rematch with Milos Raonic while Grigor Dimitrov continued his summer resurgence to reach the semi-finals of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.

The Scot fired down 10 aces in a 6-4 6-4 victory over Bernard Tomic to book a last-four clash with Raonic, who he beat to the Wimbledon title in July.

Earlier on Friday Raonic, the Canadian world number six, was a 6-3 6-4 winner against Austria's rising star Dominic Thiem.

The only unseeded player left standing is Dimitrov. Following a run to the quarter-finals of the Rogers Cup, and impressive victories over Feliciano Lopez and second seed Stan Wawrinka here, the Bulgarian dominated American number one Steve Johnson on his way to claiming a 7-6 (10/8) 6-2 triumph.

His semi-final opponent will be Marin Cilic after the Croatian benefited from his countryman Borna Coric's retirement with the scoreline reading 6-2 0-0.
