Nick Frisby scored a pair of tries as the Reds picked up just their second win of the Super Rugby season with a 30-17 victory over the Cheetahs at Suncorp Stadium.
There was nothing between the sides in the opening period as they went into the break locked at 10-10 with Uzair Cassiem crossing for the Cheetahs and Curtis Browning going over for the hosts.
It was after the break when the Reds cut loose with Frisby's brace and Jake McIntyre adding two penalties and two conversions. Raymond Rhule added a consolation try for the visitors.
