This afternoon, in fact, pretty much. Given that two of their last six fixtures are away at Chelsea and Manchester City, and they’re currently seven points plus goal difference shy of safety, you’d think wins against Brighton, Watford, West Ham and Burnley are non-negotiable. And even then it might not be enough.One step at a time, though. Brighton first. The Seagulls aren’t safe yet, though they’ve got a six-point buffer on 18th-placed Aston Villa, and their post-lockdown form hasn’t been too bad. Sure, they got ravaged by Manchester United midweek, but they’ve also earned a point at high-flying Leicester and beaten Arsenal.
