Transfer rumours are coming thick and fast now with the close season fast approaching so here are some key dates for your diary so you can plan holidays and not miss a transfer deadline.
When does the transfer window open?
The transfer window does not officially open until July 1st but expect clubs to be busy soon after the season ends on May 24th and could even make announcements of signings before the window opens. What cannot happen before July 1st is club registrations.
When does the transfer window close?
The transfer window will close on August 31st which is the traditional date and was only moved to the 1st September last year because the 31st fell on a Sunday. The deadline time is 11pm for the submission of paperwork to the Premier League which can force a delay in announcements until long after that time. Radamel Falcao was not announced until 1:30am for example.
