U's boss Money approaching York match with caution

Cambridge United manager Richard Money has admitted that he is aware of the threat that York City pose in tonight's game at the R Costings Abbey Stadium and wont let the team rest on their laurels, despite York currently sitting in 22nd place and having only won one match out of the last ten.

On paper the results perhaps don't do York any favours; when playing against Luton they were 2-0 up before the Hatters pulled things back following a dismissal for Jake Hyde.

"If you ask yourself if there is any type of game in this league other than the type of game we're going to get tonight then the answer is no," said United head coach Money to Cambridge News.

"They were 2-0 up at Luton before Hyde got sent off and that says everything about them."

There has been a change of management since that early season fixture with Nigel Worthington resigning from the Minstermen and former Scunthorpe boss Russ Wilcox taking over the reigns.

"Although we were 2-0 up, the game was never that score line at any stage and, even though we were disappointed to lose the 2-0 lead, nobody could deny them a point at least because they played very well." Money added.

While Cambridge have had a shaky time since opening the year with three victories they are starting to bounce back and the 2-0 victory over Morecambe has shown Money that there is still plenty of fight in the team.

"If Saturday's performance is anything to go by then we can look forward to the rest of the season with confidence, but we've got it all to prove still as we haven't done it (consistently) all season,"
