Marek Stech saves a stoppage-time penalty as Luton hold on for draw

Marek Stech saved an injury time penalty as Luton rescued a point in a dramatic 2-2 draw at Mansfield.

Mansfield were cruising to victory after goals from Rhys Bennett and Lee Angol.

But Lee Collins struck in the 85th minute to give Luton hope and the comeback was complete when Danny Hylton headed home with two minutes left on the clock.

But it was Luton goalkeeper Stech who was the hero when he stepped up to save a weak Jimmy Spencer penalty deep into stoppage time after Scott Cuthbert handled at the back post.

Bennett opened the scoring for the hosts when he prodded home after Luton failed to clear their lines in the 23 minute in a half which Mansfield dominated.

Angol doubled Mansfield's lead with a confident finish in the 71st minute.

Collins tapped home from close range after Mansfield switched off then Hylton headed the Hatters level from just two yards out.

Stech then saved Spencer's penalty which was sent straight down the middle.
