Manchester United predicted XI vs. Leicester

19 September 2014 10:47

After a very impressing win against QPR on home turf, United now face a challenge against Leicester Away from home. United will be hungry to bag full 3 points.

Leicester has started their Premier league campaign putting up good shows against Everton and Arsenal at their King Power Stadium. Leicester can test the United defence with their striker Leonardo Ulloa soaring high this season.

On the other hand, Louis Van Gaal will stick with the formation of 4-4-2 which he changed in last match and was successful with it. The diamond midfield has really provided the pace and width needed in the united attack.

After a great show against QPR, I don’t see Van Gaal will making much of the changes to starting squad. Angel Di Maria will again play an important role with his pace and will be the key man in all the Manchester United attacks. Daley Blind did a great job as a holding midfielder against QPR. He had the best pass completion rate in the United squad that day. Marcos Rojo will link up good with Angel Di Maria on the left flank and will not be scared of charging forward. LVG has shown a lot of confidence in Tyler Blackett and Blackett has never let him down. He is so far the best center back along with Jones this season. Van Persie has failed to convert the chances he has got till now. I personally would like to see Falcao starting with Rooney this time with Van Persie on bench.

Here’s my starting XI combination to give United their second win of this season:-

De Gea, Rafael, Evans, Blackett, Rojo, Blind, Herrera, Di Maria, Mata, Falcao, Rooney

Predicted Final Score:-

Leicester 1 – 3 Manchester United
