Jonny Evans believes West Brom can use their narrow back to back Premier League wins as a way to build confidence in the coming weeks.
A second half header from club record signing Salomon Rondon was enough to seal a 1-0 win at Norwich, with the Baggies having won by the same scoreline against Sunderland a week earlier.
Tony Pulis has seen his side keep six clean sheets in the league this season and, having only managed to score eight goals of their own, the watertight defence is a large part of the reason behind their decent form.
Evans, a summer arrival from Manchester United, has played his part in that and - with games coming up against the Red Devils as well as Arsenal, West Ham, Tottenham and Liverpool - the Northern Irishman feels West Brom can go into those games with the momentum of two important victories.
"It has been great to get, especially the two clean sheets and the two 1-0 wins," he said.
"Sometimes the games aren't always pretty but we have managed to grind them out and we want to build our confidence on the back of that.
"We started slow in the first 15 minutes but created chances and thought we were unlucky not to go in 1-0 up at half-time. They got in behind us and had a few chances but we managed to sort that out between ourselves on the pitch."
Norwich had dominated the opening stages but West Brom's back line again held firm, meaning Rondon's header inside the opening minute of the second half proved enough to separate the sides.
"The goal settled us," added Evans.
"They put us under pressure for the final 20 minutes or so but we ground out the result and it was another great away victory. They were quite strong and got the ball out wide. They used that threat but I thought our full-backs defended really well in one-on-one situations."
Norwich have lost three league games in succession and face their own tricky run of fixtures between now and Christmas.
Manager Alex Neil made the decision to change his defence following the 6-2 defeat at Newcastle as Russell Martin moved to full-back and Ryan Bennett came in to partner Sebastien Bassong in the middle.
It was the 25-year-old's first league start since April and, despite the result, Bennett is keen to remain in Neil's side in the coming weeks.
"Hopefully I can do well and stay in the team," he said.
"When you're not in the side you've got to keep working. That's what I've done and I'm looking to reap the rewards from that now. I've been fortunate to come back into the team.
"The result hasn't gone the way I would have liked but we've just got to carry on. We know how difficult this league is and we've got to stick to our beliefs."
