Sam Allardyce and Diafra Sakho have won the Barclays Manager & Player of the Month awards for October following West Ham’s 100% record for the month.
'Big' Sam Allardyce lead the Hammers to three wins from three Premier League games during October, beating Queens Park Rangers, Burnley and the reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.
Summer signing Diafra Sakho was instrumental for West Ham during October, scoring three goals in as many games including the winning goal against City at Upton Park.
The pair were clear winners beating the likes of Jose Mourinho and Sergio Aguero who also made the shortlist. Votes came from the Barclays Panel - a group of former players, journalists and key football stakeholders.
