Thomas O'Brien nets brace as Forfar preserve 100 per cent start to the season

Thomas O'Brien hit a brace as Forfar maintained their 100 per cent start to the Ladbrokes League Two season with a 3-2 victory over Elgin at Station Park.

Chris McLeish opened the scoring for the visitors in the 22nd minute when he scored from his own half but Forfar pulled themselves level seven minutes before the interval as O'Brien fired home from the edge of the box after Gavin Swankie set him up.

But Forfar were not level for long as Elgin restored their advantage four minutes later, McLeish firing home his second of the afternoon.

Swankie was again the architect five minutes into the second half when he played in Josh Peters to level once more for the hosts.

O'Brien made sure Forfar would make it four wins from four when he latched onto Jamie Lister's ball to fire home the winner in the 65th minute.
