Bury duo James Vaughan and Danny Mayor pushing to return against Coventry

James Vaughan and Danny Mayor are both pushing to return as Lee Clark prepares for his first home game as Bury boss against Coventry.

The Shakers have earned two straight wins since Clark joined the club from Kilmarnock and the good news could continue with both Vaughan (back) and Mayor (stomach) closing on a return.

Otherwise Clark will hope to stick with the side that won at Charlton on Saturday, which means another start for 16-year-old Callum Styles.

Craig Jones (thigh), Nathan Cameron (knee) and Zeli Ismail (groin) remain on the long-term casualty list.

Yakubu Aiyegbeni is a major concern for Coventry after suffering a hamstring injury on Saturday.

The former Premier League striker, who signed for the Sky Blues a fortnight ago, is set to undergo a scan amid fears that the problem could spell the end of his season.

Coventry captain Jordan Willis and midfielder Ruben Lameiras are both expected to be back in the squad at Gigg Lane after injury and concussion respectively.

Gael Bigirimana was overlooked against Swindon at the weekend as boss Russell Slade opted for an extra striker so he will hope to rejoin the squad.
