Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Brazilian attacking midfielder Douglas Costa from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 24-year-old, who was reportedly a target for Barclays Premier League club Chelsea, has signed a five-year contract with the German champions.
Bayern executive Jan-Christian Dreesen told the Bundesliga side's official website: "We are very pleased we were able to sign Douglas Costa.
"His five-year contract to 2020 also shows we are planning for the future. We hope he gets accustomed to life in Munich quickly and will improve the team."
