It’s often a sad sight when racism in football over shadows the actual match, but this weekend a player responded brilliantly to fans abusing him.

Last week Belgian side Genk played Kortrijk who racially abused defender Christian Kabasele who is a Tongan international.

This week Genk faced Standard Liege and the 24 year old open the scoring after heading home a corner.

In an effort to show up the fans who had made fun of him one week prior, Kabasele proceeded to celebrated by pretending to be a monkey.

The match finished 3-1 to Genk but all the talk after the game was of Christian Kabasele and his reaction.
