Vicioso Wins GP Premio Miguel Indurain

Katusha's Angel Vicioso has won the GP Premio Miguel Indurain in Spain.

This annual 192.7km race which a start and finish in Estella over a lump course saw a strong Movistar team including Alejandro Valverde who was riding a new Canyon bike.

The break had a lead of 3.15 was wiped out with forty five kilometres left and a new group of Benat Intxausti, Ion Izagirre, Vicioso, Brown, Acevedo, Carthy, Txurruka, Estévez, Delio, Gallego and Mancebo took over.

They were chased by the Katusha team who had them to within forty five seconds with fifteen kilometres left.

Five kilometres on and Intxausti, Izagirre, Vcioso and Acevedo left this elite group and opened up a small lead.

Heading towards the finish on the Puy with five kilometres left, the four had a lead of thirty seconds and this proved enough for Angel Vicioso of Katusha to take the win ahead of Ion Izaggire, Intxausti, Acevedo and Alejandro Valverde.
