The Giro del Trentino race will be known as the Tour Of The Alps for 2017.
The race is in its 40th year, which was won by Team Sky's Mikel Landa in 2016, is a traditional warm up race for the Giro D'Italia/
"We're extremely proud of the new project starting right now," said G.S. Alto Garda President Giacomo Santini in a press statement. "We're following up to the exciting 40-year history of Giro del Trentino with a new spirit.
"The Alps unite people sharing nature, history and culture as a common ground. The sport helps to go beyond the borders in name of a better lifestyle inspired by the sustainable mobility."
The race which will announce the details of its stages in January, will be held from April 17th to April 21st.
