In an unusual measure, cycling fans are being asked to pay to see the twenty two teams competing in this year's Tour De France being unveiled.

The "Meet The Riders" events held before every Tour De France are normally free and regularly attract good crowds to what is a family event, that gives fans a chance to have pictures taken etc with the riders, whilst the media get the chance to conduct all their pre-race interviews.

However, the organisers behind the Grand Depart in Yorkshire have announced that this year's event will see an admission price charged for an event at the Leeds Arena which will feature live entertainment and cycling, but claim that this is a not for profit event.
