Dumoulin Wins Eneco Tour Time Trial

Tom Dumoulin of Giant Shimano has won the Eneco Tour Time Trial.

Stage three was a 9.5km individual time trial around Breda and saw British rider Steve Cummings of BMC post the fastest early time of 11.12, beating Moreno Moser of Cannondale's time of 11.13 and Rohan Dennis of BMC's time of 11.15.

David Millar had just finished in 11.28.06 when Jesse Sergeant finished in 11.10.01 to set the new fastest time.

That was until favourite Fabian Cancellera flew home in 10. 57.59 at an average speed of 52km/h.

Geraint Thomas rode really well to finish in 11.05.78 to go provisionally second until Tom Dumoulin of Giant Shimano finished in 10.55.32 to go two seconds ahead of Cancellera and ten seconds ahead of Thomas.

Former Britsh national time trial champion Alex Dowsett of Movistar finished in 11.19.01.

Dumoulin was still in the lead by the time, race leader Zdenek Stybar of Omega Pharma Quick Step went down the ramp.

Lars Boom finished in 11.14.71 and the attention was now on Stybar who could only finish in 11.27.23 and it was Dumoulin who took the stage victory with Lars Boom the new leader with a four second lead.
