Pakistan's new Twenty20 captain Sarfraz Ahmed kept up his 100% record as the hosts took an unassailable 2-0 lead over West Indies in Dubai.

Sarfraz began his tenure with a nine-wicket hammering of England in a one-off match at Old Trafford this month, and has followed up with back-to-back triumphs over the ICC World Twenty20 champions in successive days.

Pakistan's 160 for four proved a formidable total as they won by 16 runs this time, West Indies stumbling to 20 for three in the powerplay and left-arm seamer Sohail Tanvir taking three for 13 in an eventual 144 for nine.

Sarfraz top-scored with an unbeaten 46 from 32 balls, after he had lost the toss.

Opener Khalid Latif and veteran Shoaib Malik also made handy contributions, the latter dropped on nought by Samuel Badree from a cut at Carlos Brathwaite before sharing a fourth-wicket stand of 69 with Sarfraz.
