Moores takes role with Notts

Peter Moores has been given a route back into county cricket as coaching consultant at Nottinghamshire - less than two months after his unceremonious sacking by England.

Moores' second stint as coach of the national team lasted barely a year as he was dismissed from his role on May 9 following a run of disappointing results. He was previously in charge between 2007 and 2009.

But Moores, who led Sussex then Lancashire to County Championship title success, now has the opportunity to once again rebuild his reputation in county cricket.

"I feel very excited about the opportunity to work as a consultant coach at a club as prestigious as Notts," said Moores.
