The Leicester Lineup That Should Start Against West Ham

Leicester City will be looking to make it four wins from four when they host West Ham on Sunday lunchtime.

There were many that predicted the Foxes may slip down the table after their collapse during the second half of last season. However, Brendan Rodgers has ensured his side have started their campaign in eye-catching form.

After smashing Manchester City last weekend, their task will be to guard against complacency - West Ham may only ever be one game away from a full snot-nosed meltdown, but they dismantled Wolves last time out and may prove tougher opponents than expected.

Here's how we think Leicester should line-up on Sunday.

1. Goalkeeper and Defenders

Kasper Schmeichel (GK) - The Great Dane remains an evergreen presence between the sticks and will hope to keep his first home clean sheet of the season.

Timothy Castagne (RB) - The Belgian has settled into Premier League life well and scored on his debut at West Brom. Should provide attacking thrust from the full-back position, and can be swapped with Justin if needed.

Jonny Evans (CB) - The defender picked up a minor injury at Manchester City, but should be fit to start this weekend. Will be tasked with containing Michail Antonio.

Caglar Soyuncu (CB) - Distinctly coiffured, Soyuncu has started this season impressively after his bizarre red card at Bournemouth in July. Tough, quick and strong, West Ham will do well to get much change out of him.

James Justin (LB) - The youngster has been entrusted by his manager to replace the departed Ben Chilwell and has done a fine job so far. The in-form Jarrod Bowen may prove to be a difficult opponent on Sunday.

2. Midfielders

Ayoze Perez (RM) - The Spaniard has slightly underwhelmed since joining from Newcastle last summer, but clearly retains the faith of his manager. A more intelligent player than given credit for.

Youri Tielemans (CM) - A classy operator, Tielemans scored the final goal last weekend and will be hoping to cement his reputation as one of the league's premier midfielders this season.

Nampalys Mendy (CM) - The forgotten man at King Power, Mendy has had a run of games in Leicester's midfield - thanks to Wilfred Ndidi's injury - and the 28-year-old will be hoping to make the most of his opportunities.

James Maddison (CM) - Having spent the back end of last season injured, Maddison capped his return to the first team with a screamer at the Etihad last Sunday. Missed out on the last England squad, so the creative midfielder will be looking to play himself back into contention.

Harvey Barnes (LM) - Received his first call-up to the England squad this week and this is fine reward for a quality player. Capable of winning a match on his own, Barnes will need to be watched closely by the West Ham defence.

3. Attacker

Jamie Vardy (ST) - Is there any stopping Jamie Vardy? The Steptoe lookalike has been in irrepressible form already this year and scored a hat-trick against Manchester City last week. Seemingly getting better with age.
