Premier League Player of the Month nominees for February revealed

EA Sports have announced the Premier League Player of the Month nominees for February, with Jesse Lingard among those earning recognition for an impressive month.

Lingard has hit the ground running since joining West Ham on loan from Manchester United, looking sharper than ever despite his lack of football at Old Trafford this season.

The 28-year-old played himself back into England contention over the course of a February period that saw him involved in five goals in five appearances, including a double against Aston Villa and a winner against Spurs.

He's not the only new face on the shortlist. Fulham's Joachim Andersen might have flown under the radar with his performances, but he has held Scott Parker's side together as they have emerged as a difficult side to beat. They only lost once in February, and conceded just three goals, with Andersen at the heart of it all.

One of the more obvious inclusions is Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, who has already won the award twice this season, but just keeps doing the business for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team. He scored in four successive appearances for United to start February, including his wonderful goal of the season contender against West Brom.

Man City tend to dominate these shortlists given their unstoppable form, and they are the only side with two names on the list. Ilkay Gundogan, winner of the award for January, joins Joao Cancelo, who is finally delivering on his potential for Pep Guardiola's side.

Other nominees are Leicester's Harvey Barnes, Wolves' Ruben Neves and Leeds' Raphinha, who each enjoyed thoroughly impressive months for their respective sides.

You can vote for your February player of the month via the EA Sports website.
