Manchester City are happy to let striker Sergio Agüero decide when he wants to leave the club, and they will also allow him to choose his next destination.
Since joining the club back in 2011, Agüero has been a vital part of City's success, firing 249 goals in 359 appearances. After scoring a hat-trick against Aston Villa on Sunday, he became the highest-scoring overseas player in Premier League history, proving his status as one of the top flight's greatest-ever players.

His current contract is set to run until 2021, when he will be 33 years old, and there is an acceptance that his time at the club will soon be coming to an end. According to the Daily Mail, City want to reward his years of service by giving him complete control over his future.
The expiry of his current contract is seen as a natural end point to his time with City, but club officials are not prepared to disrespect Agüero and begin publicly preparing for his departure before he is ready to go.
However, behind closed doors, the club have obviously discussed life after Agüero, with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Inter's Lautaro Martínez touted as potential replacements when the time comes.
A return to Argentinian side Independiente is thought to be high on Agüero's agenda, and City are happy to let him make that move whenever he wants to do so.
They believe he has earned the right to end his career on his own terms and they have no problems with giving him the special treatment which he so clearly deserves.
In Sunday's 6-1 win over Aston Villa, Agüero netted his 12th Premier League hat-trick to take his tally for the competition to 177 goals in just 255 appearances.
That saw him move past Arsenal legend Thierry Henry's tally of 175 goals in the competition, making Agüero the highest-scoring foreign player of all time, and City want to reward that form with the freedom to decide on his future.
