Joe Jacobson's late penalty sinks Oxford and sends Wycombe to Championship

Gareth Ainsworth could not help but smile in disbelief as he said the words aloud this week but Wycombe Wanderers will be playing in the Championship next season. Joe Jacobson scored the winning goal from the penalty spot but they had Anthony Stewart to thank for a series of superb interventions. Wycombe started the season as relegation favourites but Ainsworth has elevated them to the second tier for the first time in the club’s history.
