How the Table Look if You Combined Men's and Women's League Positions

08 February 2020 08:10

Nobody asked for it, but we've produced it anyway: a complete league table of the top 28 teams in England (plus Cardiff) if you combined the league position of a club's men's team and their women's team.

It's worked out using averages. For example, Newcastle United men's side find themselves 12th in the Premier League, while their women's team are sixth in the Division One North - the women's fourth tier - which means they are ranked 41st in the women's football pyramid, giving Newcastle an average combined league position of 27th. Yes, it really is that simple.

Bournemouth are the highest ranked men's side to not make the list, while Durham are the highest ranked women's team who did not place. Charlton are the lowest placed men's team to make the cut, and Norwich are the lowest ranked women's team on the list.

Anyway, enough maths chat, I'm sure you're dying to dive into the list. Here's the combined English men's and women's league table.
