Celtic’s safe passage into the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup wasn’t without wider meaning. Pursuit of a third domestic treble in succession has been overshadowed by the flitting of Brendan Rodgers to Leicester; acrimony and rancour was rife in the build-up to this potentially tricky tie at Hibernian. Not, as it transpired, to the detriment of performance.That Neil Lennon left Hibs in late January added to the intrigue attached to this, his second game in charge of a second Celtic spell.
