Fulham 0-1 Tottenham: Player ratings as Tosin Adarabioyo own goal hands Spurs win

Tottenham notched back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this year as Tosin Adarabioyo's own goal handed them a 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Thursday.

The visitors took the lead midway through the first half, with Son Heung-min's low cross helped on by Dele Alli before being inadvertently steered home by Cottagers defender Adarabioyo.

Fulham thought they'd drawn level just past the hour mark, with Josh Maja showing razor-sharp reactions to find himself room in the box before firing the ball into the bottom corner, but the goal was harshly ruled out for handball following a VAR check.

Fulham continued to press in search of an equaliser, but they failed to create any real gilt-edged chances as Spurs ran out 1-0 winners.

FULHAM RATINGS

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Alphonse Areola (GK) - 6/10 - Not tested as much as he would have been expecting in the first half. Finally called into action by Harry Kane late on and stood tall when his side needed him.

Ola Aina (RB) - 7/10 - Had the freedom of the Fulham right and looked dangerous when chopping inside. Another good display in what is proving to be an impressive season.

Joachim Andersen (CB) - 6/10 - Looked a threat whenever he came forward for Fulham's set pieces. Won most of his aerial duels and was steady throughout.

Tosin Adarabioyo (CB) - 6/10 - Unfortunate to put through his own net in the first half. Picked himself up after the early setback and looked solid on the whole.

Antonee Robinson (LB) - 7/10 - Always willing to stretch the Spurs backline and skipped by his man on a number of occasions when in possession.

2. Midfielders

Harrison Reed (CM) - 6/10 - Industrious and combative in the centre of the pitch. Tried to carry the fight to Spurs but often found himself crowded out and was forced to go backwards.

Mario Lemina (CM) - 6/10 - Missed a glorious opportunity early on to hand his side the lead. Knitted play together in midfield but needed to show more quality in the final third.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (CM) - 7/10 - Showed a great desire to drive his side forward and carry the ball whenever he was in possession. Used his strength well and displayed good composure when linking up play.

3. Forwards

Ivan Cavaleiro (RW) - 6/10 - Posed a threat from set pieces and nearly had a hand in the Fulham equaliser. Was lively on the ball but struggled to create himself any real clear-cut chances.

Josh Maja (ST) - 5/10 - Swallowed up a little by Tottenham's backline but continued to work and was unfortunate to see his goal chalked off for handball in the build-up.

Ademola Lookman (LW) - 6/10 - Much like Ivan Cavaleiro on the opposite wing, the former Everton man looked sprightly but constantly found himself outnumbered whenever he picked his head up and looked to drive at the Spurs defence.

4. Substitutes

Andre-Frank Zambo (CM) - 6/10

Aleksandar Mitrović (ST) - 5/10

TOTTENHAM RATINGS

5. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Davinson Sanchez looks to clear his lines | Pool/Getty Images

Hugo Lloris (GK) - 7/10 - A good display from the Spurs number one who has come in for criticism of late. Produced a very smart save in the second half to maintain his side's lead and showed good handling late on as the pressure began to mount.

Matt Doherty (RB) - 6/10 - Struggled to cope with Ademola Lookman at times but stuck to his task and came out on top.

Davinson Sanchez (CB) - 6/10 - An error-free performance which is about as good a compliment as you can give the erratic defender. Clearly been told to stick to the basics and looks much more assured for it.

Toby Alderweireld (CB) - 6/10 - Kept things simple by playing the easy ball into midfield and defended well on the whole.

Ben Davies (LB) - 5/10 - Beaten all too easily whenever he was faced with a one-on-one situation and didn't really support that attack whenever Spurs looked to break.

6. Midfielders

Tanguy Ndombele (CM) - 5/10 - Put himself about but had very little impact on the game before being withdrawn for Erik Lamela in the second half.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) - 7/10 - Swept up behind his midfield partners and recycled anything that came his way. Was key to Spurs' win as Fulham looked to press for an equaliser late on.

Dele Alli (AM) - 8/10 - Played a crucial part in Spurs' opener as he continued his run into the box after feeding Son. Not at his absolute best but you could see the hunger to launch attacks and get himself into the box.

7. Forwards

Gareth Bale (RW) - 7/10 - Looked dangerous on the half-turn and sparked the Spurs attack which led to the opener. Withdrawn midway through the second half but can be pleased with his performance.

Harry Kane (ST) - 5/10 - Perhaps should have done better with a close-range header in the first half. One of the quietest 90 minutes you're likely to see from the England man.

Son Heung-min (LW) - 5/10 - Nice ball into the box as Spurs edged ahead on the evening. Didn't have his usual impact going forward for the majority of the game and looked tired in the second half.
