Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova top Forbes list

Both former World No. 1's, Roger Federer & Maria Sharapova have dominated the world top earning tennis players in 2013 Forbes list according to Forbes Magazine.

Roger Federer has bagged $71.5 million including $6.5 million in prize money on the ATP World Tour. Swiss Maestro will receive around $10 million every year from Nike and he also having other endorsement deals with Wilson Rolex, Credit Suisse, Mercedes Benz, Gillette, Lindt, Jura Elektroapparate and Moët & Chandon. Federer’s latest five-year agreement with Moët & Chandon worth more than $30 million, while had had earned $ 14million for six exhibition matches in South America last year.

Russian beauty Maria Sharapova has been leading world’s 10 best-paid female athletes’s announced by Forbes Magazine. She has earned a total of $29 million, where she is brand ambassador for Nike, Head, Samsung Electronics, Tag Heuer and Evian. 17-time Grand Slam champion won holds second place with $20.5 million and China’s Li Na standing No. 3 place with $18.2 million followed by two -time Grand Slam champion Victoria Azarenka of Belarus at fourth with $15.7 million.

Roger Federer, who had not performance well on the ATP World Tour this year, but his brand image has been dominating to be placed at the top earning tennis players.
