Second seed Tommy Robredo will face Frenchman Benoit Paire in the final of the SkiStar Swedish Open in Bastad.
Robredo, the world number 21 from Spain, saved eight out of 10 break points before seeing off Alexander Zverev 6-3 6-4 in a tight, 82-minute semi-final.
World number 62 Paire came through with an impressive 6-4 6-3 victory over defending champion and third seed Pablo Cuevas.
Robredo is chasing his third Bastad title and his 12th clay-court trophy overall, with Paire seeking his maiden ATP Tour victory.
