Top seed David Ferrer fought back from a set down to reach the Malaysian Open final with victory against Benjamin Becker in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

Unseeded German Becker, who sent Jeremy Chardy and Grigor Dimitrov crashing out of the tournament on his way to the semi-finals, won the first set but could not secure a third seeded scalp as the Spaniard earned a 3-6 6-2 6-4 in two hours and five minutes.

Former world number three Ferrer will meet compatriot Feliciano Lopez in Sunday's final after he earned a straight-sets victory over Australian seventh seed Nick Kyrgios.

Both sets went to a tie-break but Spanish second seed Lopez, 34, served 12 aces to prevail 7-6 (7/2) 7-6 (7/5) against a player 14 years his junior.
