Dai Young showered praise on his players after an injury-hit Wasps reclaimed second place in the Aviva Premiership behind reigning champions Saracens.
Danny Cipriani. Jimmy Goppperth, Kyle Eastmond and Christian Wade were among the absentees as Wasps overcame struggling Worcester 26-12 at Sixways.
With other players unavailable due to international commitments - and in England lock Joe Launchbury's case, suspension - Wasps showcased their squad strength to inflict a seventh defeat of the Premiership campaign on Worcester.
"There were a lot of new faces and boys who had been waiting for opportunities and I am really proud of the effort today," Wasps rugby director Young said.
"Today was all about rolling our sleeves up and meeting physicality with physicality. The tackle area was really hotly-contested and I thought our boys stood toe to toe and found a way to win."
Rob Miller, fly-half deputy for calf strain victim Cipriani, kicked 16 points, while centre Brendan Macken and scrum-half Dan Robson scored tries, and Young added: "A special mention to Rob Miller, who I thought was outstanding.
"Danny went down in the last minute of the team run (on Saturday), and Rob did the basics really well and had a very good game organising us. He looked very comfortable in that position.
"You don't win anything with 15 or 23 players, it is a whole squad effort. We have a massive injury list at the moment and that is where a squad comes to the fore.
"I thought it was a fantastic win for us. For me, this has to be up there with one of the best wins we've had this year.
"Danny is probably touch and go for next week (Wasps host Connacht in the European Champions Cup), but if it is not next week, it is certainly not going to be too many weeks after that.
"This is a tough league. If you look at top to bottom, any team can beat each other. There are no places you can go and think it is going to be a comfortable win.
"Worcester are a good team and I think this is one of our better wins. I am absolutely delighted with it."
Fly-half Jamie Shillcock kicked four penalties for Worcester, who remain in 11th spot as they build towards a crucial clash against bottom club Bristol at Ashton Gate on Boxing Day.
"I thought we showed a huge amount of energy and endeavour in the contest, and for long periods of time we looked a good rugby side," Worcester head coach Carl Hogg said.
"We had plenty of possession, but we looked a little bit frantic at times because of a lack of set-piece security in the lineouts, where we were always under pressure.
"I thought we lacked a bit of accuracy and precision - that clinical accuracy let us down.
"I was disappointed not to get the losing bonus point.
"We put Wasps under pressure for long periods of time, but we didn't convert. With our lineout malfunctioning, it made it very difficult to get a stranglehold on the game."
