France wing Teddy Thomas looks set to miss his club Racing-Metro's Top 14 clash with Clermont on Saturday after he said he suffered a sprained ankle in Saturday's 18-11 Six Nations defeat by Ireland.

The 21-year-old-wing does not know how long he'll be sidelined.

"I hope to be back as soon as possible", he tweeted on his Twitter account.

Thomas was replaced by Castres' Remi Lamerat just 32 minutes into the Six Nations game on Saturday.

Clermont, who are second in the table with Racing-Metro fourth six points adrift of their opponents, too will be missing key players.

Centre Wesley Fofana, fly-half Camille Lopez and No8 Damien Chouly are all to be rested as they have played virtually the entirety of France's opening two Six Nations games.
