Highlanders back to winning ways

The Highlanders recovered from their narrow Super Rugby defeat to the Sharks by beating the Brumbies 23-10 in Invercargill.

Last weekend's 15-14 loss to the Sharks spurred Dunedin's team on to better things and they ran in two tries and slotted three Lima Sopoaga penalties against the Brumbies on Saturday evening.

Sopoaga, who also converted both scores, and captain Ben Smith crossed for the hosts either side of the break, while Joshua Mann-Rea managed to dot down for the Brumbies in the 51st minute.
