Tottenham, fresh from going top of the Premier League with their 2-0 victory over Manchester City, return to Europa League action on Thursday with a home fixture against Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets Razgrad.

Goals from Son Heung-min and Giovani Lo Celso saw off City on Saturday, though the midweek match is another of paramount importance with three teams tied on six points at the halfway stage in Group J.

The visitors, who are yet to pick up a point in Europe, are top of Bulgaria's First Professional League having won eight of their 11 games so far.

Team News

Jose Mourinho will likely ring the changes to the side that beat City 2-0.

Davinson Sanchez should come into central defence, with Toby Alderweireld expected to be sidelined for a month or so with an adductor injury. Matt Doherty contracted coronavirus on international duty so Serge Aurier may continue at right back, though Japhet Tanganga could feature if he gets fit in time.

Elsewhere, Gareth Bale, Carlos Vinicius and Giovani Lo Celso will be pushing for starts, as will Lucas Moura.

Ludogorets will be without forwards Higinio and Wanderson. They played with a 4-4-2 formation when the sides met earlier this month, though they could revert to a 4-3-3 system.

While they've been in good form, Ludogorets had to cancel recent games against Sportist Svoge and Botev Plovdiv due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the squad.

Predicted Lineups

Tottenham: Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Hojbjerg, Winks; Bale, Lo Celso, Lucas; Vinicius.

Ludogorets Razgrad: Iliev; Cicinho, Terziev, Verdon, Nedyalkov; Andrianantenaina, Badji, Santana; Cauly, Manu, Yankov.

Recent Form

Things are looking up for Spurs at the moment. The win over City took them to the top of the Premier League, courtesy of a run of six victories in eight games after the opening day loss to Everton.

In the Europa League, they've picked up wins against Ludogorets and LASK, but a woeful performance away at Royal Antwerp ruined their record in Europe so far this season.

Ludogorets have won eight of their last ten league games, including their most recent 3-0 success against CSKA 1948 earlier this month.

Here are the last five results for each side.

Tottenham

Tottenham 2-0 Manchester City (21/11)
West Brom 0-1 Tottenham (8/11)
Ludogorets Razgrad 1-3 Tottenham (5/11)
Tottenham 2-1 Brighton (1/11)
Royal Antwerp 1-0 Tottenham (29/10)

Ludogorets Razgrad

CSKA 1948 0-3 Ludogorets Razgrad (8/11)
Ludogorets Razgrad 1-3 Tottenham (5/11)
Ludogorets Razgrad 1-0 Levski Sofia (1/11)
LASK 4-3 Ludogorets Razgrad (29/10)
Montana 1-3 Ludogorets Razgrad (25/10)

Prediction

Tottenham might be on a high after their recent win, but there's still plenty of work to be done in the Europa League. Three teams are tied on six points, so positive results are needed for Spurs to qualify from Group J in top spot.

The home side will likely be a little less fluent in attack owing to the probable changes to the starting lineup but should still have more than enough to record their third group stage win.

Prediction: Tottenham 3-0 Ludogorets Razgrad
