Slavia Prague claim Kasper Schmeichel is overweight & wears a corset ahead of Leicester Europa League clash

Slavia Prague have produced a video in which a journalist claims that Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is overweight and needs to wear a corset when he is playing.

The Red and Whites are set to face the Foxes in the Europa League round of 32, with the first leg being played in the Czech capital on Thursday and the return fixture taking place seven days later.

Slavia have inadvertently given Brendan Rodgers' side such extra motivation ahead of the game, by facilitating a string of truly bizarre jibes at Schmeichel.

In a video entitled LEICESTER LOADING, former radio presenter and author Jiri Hosek called out the Dane's supposed unhealthy lifestyle, saying: "He is a keeper that has had problems with his healthy lifestyle. Certainly a tough manager that favours athleticism and the physical aspects of training, the likes of [Slavia manager] Trpisovsky would probably want Schmeichel to lose five or ten kilos.

"And by the way, as far as I know, Schmeichel must be the only Premier League player that, underneath his shirt, wears a corset."

It is quite the bold claim, so one would imagine that he possesses some impressive credentials to back it up, right? Not exactly. In fact, the only reason that Hosek was asked to contribute to the video appears to be that he was once friends with Leicester's club priest. Yes, really.

Schmeichel's weight is not the only thing that Hosek takes aim at during his talking head segment. Literally minutes into the video, he buries the entire city of Leicester.

"Leicester is a city in central England. It’s a city where personally I wouldn’t want to live," he said. "Apart from the Cathedral and the surroundings, there really isn’t much to do there."

To be fair, after this strange rant, it is probably best that Hosek stays away from the city anyway.
