QPR’s Nahki Wells hands wasteful Leeds defeat with controversial goal

Nahki Wells’ controversial goal gave QPR a 1-0 victory and dealt another blow to Leeds’ promotion bid. Wells clearly hand the ball before scoring after 20 minutes at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, where Patrick Bamford had a second-half penalty saved by Liam Kelly and Kalvin Phillips was sent off for a crude challenge on the QPR midfielder Geoff Cameron in the 89th minute. The pair have history, with Cameron having missed more than three months of last season because of an equally reckless challenge by Phillips when these clubs met at Elland Road in December 2018.
