UnitedHealthCare’s Gavin Mannion has won the Colorado Classic. Gavin Mannion of UnitedHealthCare was in the blue jersey for a fourth and final 115km stage which started and finished in Denver. The opening lap of eight 12.2kms saw Taylor Phinney and James Piccoli go clear and take a ten second lead which went out to 30 seconds. Phinney was first to the points at the first sprint as Villalobos and Ed Anderson joined the break which had a lead of 55 seconds with five laps left. The break was caught so Phinney attacked again only to be brought back. Damien Howson took the second sprint with Nickolas Zukowsky briefly leading until he was caught. Neilson Powless crashed up but was soon back on his bike but Cote of Sniper racing was forced to abandon the race. It came down to a sprint and it was no surprise that Travis McCabe of UnitedHealthCare took the win ahead of Ty Magner and Joe Lewis with McCabe’s team mate Gavin Mannion taking the overall victory.     .readfullarticle
