Ivan Cavaleiro Completes Permanent Move to Fulham From Wolves

Fulham have officially completed the permanent signing of Ivan Cavaleiro from Wolverhampton Wanderers, following an impressive start to the season with the Cottagers.

Cavaleiro joined Wolves in the summer of 2016 and made 106 appearances for the club. In this time, he scored 19 goals, also providing 20 assists.

However, the 26-year-old found game time hard to come by for Wolves in 2018/19 and, as a result, he secured a loan move to Fulham during the summer. This season, he has been a key figure for Scott Parker's side, featuring 26 times in all competitions so far. In this time, he has managed five goals and six assists.

Fulham have now taken to their official website to confirm they have triggered their option to make the move permanent for an undisclosed fee. The player has signed a contract until the summer of 2024, with the London side having the option to extend the deal by a further year.

Cottagers vice-chairman Tony Khan has commented on the deal, saying: "Since joining us in the summer Ivan has shown real quality and I know there’s much more to come. He is an extremely gifted player, already registering five goals and six assists, he’s been outstanding for us so far.

"He has the ability to make a difference in a game so I am excited that he’s a Fulham player until at least 2024. I worked hard to get him here and I know Ivan has a big part to play in the journey ahead to get us back to where we want to be, in the Premier League. Come on Fulham!"

Parker's men will be hoping to bounce back up to the Premier League at the first time of asking, having been relegated during the 2018/19 campaign. Fulham sit fifth in the Championship, having picked up 42 points from their opening 26 matches.
