Giants' Guaranteed Money for 31-Year-Old Golden Tate is Absurd

The New York Giants found their replacement for Odell Beckham Jr. in the form of Golden Tate. Before the signing, the G-Men had a serious lack of depth in the receiving corps, but Tate's addition certainly helped it on paper. At 31 years of age, many thought Tate's deal would be short-term. That wasn't the case, as he was signed to a four-year, $37.5 million contract. While the max salary isn't exactly "blow-away money," it's the guaranteed $23 million that's staggering. Not a very deep WR.
