Huddersfield manager Danny Cowley has said that he will be aiming to recruit left-sided talent in the January transfer window, feeling the lack of 'balance' in the side needs addressing.
A 2-0 defeat to high-flying Leeds on Saturday was their sixth game without a win, and with Cowley's first transfer window looming on the horizon as his side struggles, there has been plenty of talk over who the boss could look to recruit to help turn his side's fortunes around.
And when asked following their most recent defeat, Cowley said that left-sided talent will be a priority - particularly at left-back, with only 20-year-old Jaden Brown available to him in that position at present.
“We’ve got a young left back in Jaden Brown, who prior to this season hadn’t played a single game, and he’s our only left back at the club. So we definitely need support in that area.”
Cowley's side were spirited in their defeat to promotion-chasing Leeds, but eventually succumbed to goals by Ezgjan Alioski and Pablo Hernandez. Ultimately it was Marcelo Bielsa who got the better of the encounter, and Cowley added that while it was a damaging defeat, it wasn't 'terminal' for his side.
