Chelsea Women's Fran Kirby Showcases Stunning Skill in 4-0 Victory Over Reading

On her return from injury, Chelsea Women's star Fran Kirby showcased a stunning piece of skill against her former side Reading, as the Blues ran out 4-0 victors.

Widely recognised as one of the finest talents in the Women's Super League, Kirby was in inspired form as she guided the Blues to a dominant victory, even netting two goals in the process.

During the game, Kirby pulled off an audacious piece of skill to leave two defenders starstruck, and Chelsea posted a video of the move on their Instagram. With minimal space in which to operate, Kirby utilised a perfect roulette to play her way out of trouble.

After missing the last two months with injury, Kirby wasted no time in getting herself involved, netting the game's opening goal after just three minutes. She was a constant menace to the Reading defence, and her elite dribbling skills were on show throughout, proving why she was awarded the PFA Players' Player of the Year award last season.

A first Chelsea goal for Anita Asante doubled Chelsea's lead, and the Blues remained on top for the rest of the game. However, it was not until late on that Chelsea netted again, with late goals from Kirby and Ali Riley gifting the Blues a convincing win.

As a result of the victory, Chelsea Women will now advance to the semi-final of the FA Continental Tyres League Cup, where they could meet any of Manchester UnitedArsenal or Manchester City.
