Roddick claims his place in last four
Lleyton Hewitt put on a brave fight but Andy Roddick earned his place in the last four of the Mens' Singles at Wimbledon, winning 6-3 6-7 (10-12) 7-6 (7-1) 5-7 6-4.Roddick, who has lost two Wimbledon finals to Roger Federer in 2004 and 2005, held his serve and his nerve at the end of the titanic five-set struggle.
It was great to see Hewitt back at the top of his game and he'll be bitterly disappointed but can be proud of his performance. Roddick now needs to recover in time for Friday's semi-final against Andy Murray.
It was a good day for the Murray family, with Andy claiming his place in the Mens' Semis and big brother Jamie also winning in his Mixed Doubles match with Liezel Huber against Mike Bryan and Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
