Mark Selby took just one frame on Monday to secure a 'special' win over Stephen Hendry to make the World Championship quarter-finals.
Selby had led 12-4 overnight but capitalised on a mistake from his opponent to reel off a break of 81 to secure his progress at the first time of asking in the day's session.
'The Jester from Leicester' became the first player to amass six century breaks in a 25-frame contest in the process, and has now scored 54 in the season to beat a record previously held by his opponent.
Selby said: "The way I played against someone of Stephen's class makes it special."
Hendry himself has now admitted that the time may have come for him to call it a day but will make his decision at the end of the season.
Hendry said: "I'll decide in the summer. I've still got the game but I haven't got the self-belief to compete with these guys."
