Newcastle Falcons head coach Alan Tait has said his side will get back to basics following their 35-18 opening game loss at Sale Sharks.
Tait wants to see his scrum and fly-halves attack the wings when they take on Wasps at Kingston Park on Friday as they attempt to get their Aviva Premiership campaign up and running.
"You've got to be braver than ever to stand flat and attack the line, I think," he said. "It tests you as an attacker, to read the situation, and I think the line-speed will only increase, because of the fitness of players.
"After six rounds of the competition when everyone has their match-fitness right up there then space and time will be cut down to a minimum.
"So in that situation the better players are the ones who will come through, the ones who can flick a switch and make a snap-call, and the right one."
