Hooker George Chuter has warned his Leicester Tigers team-mates not to under-estimate the challenge posed by Exeter Chiefs on Saturday.
Reigning Premiership champions Leicester lost 27-19 at Northampton in their opening fixture, while the newly-promoted Chiefs won 22-10 at home to Gloucester.
"Everyone always says there are no easy games and I think Exeter's win proved it," said Chuter.
"It's a fantastic win for Exeter and for the league in general to see a club come up from the Championship and win a game against one of the big guys.
"It's that sort of league this year - the new laws do open up the game a bit more.
"If you can keep the ball and keep going through the phases then teams will struggle and it sounds like that's what Exeter did.
"You don't need to play fancy rugby to be efficient and get results."
Meanwhile, the Welford Road outfit are still waiting to discover the extent of a knee injury picked up by England fly-half Toby Flood at Franklin's Gardens.
