South Africa coach Peter de Villiers will have to wait to learn his fate following a disappointing Tri-Nations campaign.
De Villiers is reportedly fighting to save his job after the Springboks finished bottom of the table, having lost all but one of their games against New Zealand and Australia.
However, the South African Rugby Union has pledged not to make any knee-jerk reactions to a dismal series after revealing that de Villiers' tenure will be discussed at a performance review later this month.
"The annual review of the Springboks' performance in the Vodacom Tri-Nations will be scheduled as per normal with Springbok coach Peter de Villiers for later this month," read an SARU statement.
"The review will include all aspects of Springbok performance."
The outspoken De Villiers has been at the helm since 2008 when he was named the first non-white coach of the Springboks.
"All rugby followers are extremely disappointed with results in the Vodacom Tri-Nations, as are the Springbok team and management, of course," added SARU president Oregan Hoskins.
"We take the situation very seriously but there is a process in place and we will follow that through."
