Sale Sharks have snapped up former Wales and British & Irish Lions back Dafydd James on an initial short-term deal running until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old former Harlequins and Scarlets winger has left Cardiff Blues after less than a season, having found first-team opportunities limited in the Welsh capital.
However, Sharks director of rugby Kingsley Jones is pleased to have drafted in James, who won close to 50 Test caps earlier on in his career.
Jones told his club's official website: "We're delighted that Dafydd has agreed to join us until the end of the season.
"He can play at centre or on the wing, positions where we've had injury problems this year."
