Vickery relishing final hurrah
Phil Vickery has claimed that he is looking forward to his final appearance in a British & Irish Lions jersey more than any other game in his career.
Vickery will starts for the Lions in the final Test against South Africa at tighthead prop where he will be up against the player who gave him such a torrid time in the opening match of the series - Tendai Mtawarira, nicknamed the 'Beast'.
Despite such a tough task, Vickery can't wait for his final bow with the tourists, as they bid to avoid a second successive series whitewash.
"I'm looking forward to this match more than any other match I've ever played in," he said.
"It's my last game in a Lions jersey and I want to make sure we go out on a high.
"It's good to get back out there. It's unfortunate for Adam (Smith). I'm gutted for him but I've been given an opportunity on Saturday and it's up to me to go out and perform.
"I'm thoroughly looking forward to the challenge. It'll be a great occasion, there are two teams who have nothing to lose, and hopefully we can sign the tour off in style and with a great deal of credit.
"I'm very proud to be part of this group of people."
