South Africa have made ten changes to their team for Saturday's third and final Test against the British and Irish Lions.Scrum-half Fourie du Preez, flanker Juan Smith, lock Victor Matfield and props Tendai Mtawarira and John Smit are the only surviving members of the side that defeated the Lions 28-25 last weekend in Pretoria to wrap up a 2-0 series win.

Suspended duo Bakkies Botha and Schalk Burger have been replaced by lock Johann Muller and flanker Heinrich Brussow respectively.

Meanwhile, fly-half Morne Steyn has been handed a first Test start in place of Ruan Pienaar.

Rising star Steyn kicked the decisive last-gasp penalty which shot down the Lions last weekend.

"The Lions will come at us with fearless drives and we need to have some beef there if we are going to get good ball for the backs," warned Springboks coach Peter de Villiers.

Kirchner (Bulls); Ndungane (Sharks), Fourie (Lions), Olivier (Bulls), Nokwe (Cheetahs); M Steyn (Bulls), Du Preez (Bulls); Mtawarira (Sharks), Ralepelle (Bulls), Smit (Sharks), Muller (Sharks), Matfield (Bulls), Brussow (Cheetahs), Smith (Cheetahs), Kankowski (Sharks).

Replacements: B du Plessis (Sharks), Steenkamp (Bulls), Carstens (Sharks), Sykes (Sharks), Spies (Bulls), R Pienaar (Sharks), F Steyn (Sharks).
