Wigan Warriors, St Helens and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats all bounced back from defeats last weekend to secure victories on Friday evening as the sixth round of Super League games got underway.
Wigan, who had been beaten by Bradford Bulls, scored eight tries as they thrashed Hull 48-24 to remain at the top of the table.
Pat Richards, Darrell Goulding, Martin Gleeson and Amos Roberts crossed for early tries as the Warriors raced into an 18-point lead with Richards eventually finishing with 20 points.
Saints' inconsistency almost came back to haunt them as they were pushed all the way by Crusaders before eventually claiming a 37-30 victory.
Vince Mellars, Jamie Thackray, Gareth Raynor, Michael Witt and Anthony Blackwood all crossed for Crusaders tries but St Helens responded with efforts of their own by James Roby, Kyle Eastmond, Francis Meli, Chris Dean, Paul Clough and Leon Pryce.
It was a worrying second half for Saints though as they had surged into a convincing 24-6 lead against the Welsh outfit at half time.
Perhaps Wakefield produced the best performance of the evening though as they responded to last weekend's 52-0 home hammering by Huddersfield Giants by beating Hull KR 31-18.
It had looked grim again for the Wildcats at half time though when they trailed 18-6 at Craven Park but they scored 25 unanswered second-half points to claim their fourth win of the season.
